The Guidance Controller supports 6 general purpose analog outputs as shown in the table below. These values may be used internally by the motion system to control 3rd party amplifiers or may be accessed by a GPL procedure.

These analog outputs have 16-bit bipolar digital-to-analog converters (DACs) to convert raw internal numeric values to +/- 10-volt signals.
32767 = 10 volts
-32768 = -10 volts
The scale factors, offsets, and limits for analog outputs are determined by the parameter database values shown in the table below:
| Parameter Database ID | Parameter Name | Default Value | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
|
520 |
Gen AIO Out scale factor |
1 |
An array of scale factors, one per channel, that are applied to the analog output values when converting them to raw DAC values after removing the offset. |
|
521 |
Gen AIO Out offset |
0 |
An array of offsets, one per channel, that are applied to the analog output values while converting them to raw DAC units. |
|
522 |
Gen AIO Out min scaled value |
-32768 |
An array of minimum values, one per channel, that are compared to the output value. If the user-commanded value is less than the limit, it is set to this limit prior to conversion to DAC units. |
|
523 |
Gen AIO Out max scaled value |
32767 |
An array of maximum values, one per channel, that are compared to the output value. If the user-commanded value is greater than the limit, it is set to this limit prior to conversion to DAC units. |
Before the conversion, the user-commanded value is clipped to keep it within the minimum and maximum values. The raw DAC output value is then computed according to the equation below:
raw DAC output = (commanded value - offset) * scale factor
