This panel either lists the previous 100 or all known messages that were written to the System Error Message Log. This includes the message's time stamp and its complete text. This is more information than is available from the Operator Control Panel System Message window, since messages displayed in that panel are truncated to better fit within the viewing area.
Pressing the "Clear error log" button deletes all messages currently stored in the log.
