At the completion of position controlled motions, the system normally waits until all motors come to rest within a specified tolerance of their designated target positions. This ensures that the robot has successfully completed the motion before any tool operations are performed or the next motion is started. The system will trigger an error if any motor is not able to attain its target position within this specified nulling time period. This time out parameter is in units of seconds and the start of the nulling period begins when the system sends out the command for each motor to be at its final destination. Normally, a nulling time out error indicates that the robot is obstructed from reaching its final destination or a servo tuning error exists and the system is oscillating rather than settling. Please see the "servo" parameters for instructions on how to set the position tolerance range for each motor.

For velocity controlled motions, this parameter defines the amount of time that each joint must be within the final target speed before the motion is declared completed. This parameter is in units of seconds. For position controlled motions, a separate "servo" parameter can be set.
