Introduction to the Guidance Operator Interface

All Guidance Controllers include a web based Operator Interface. This interface allows you to setup the controller for first time use, operate the controller on a daily basis, perform routine maintenance operations, and diagnose hardware problems.  To supplement this interface, there are additional PC based applications (the " Guidance Development Suite") for programming the controller in a high level language and for performing specialized functions.

In the following sections, each of the functions available via the Guidance Operator Interface are described.  In the balance of this section, we describe some basics about web page navigation and login procedures.

To access the Guidance Operator Interface, you can utilize a standard Internet Browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer™ or Apple Safari™ or Google Chrome™. To connect with the controller, enter the IP address of the controller in the address bar of the browser and press enter.  Please see the "Setup and Operation Quick Start Guide" for details on setting up a PC to a compatible IP address.

The interface design is similar to many internet web sites so it should be very familiar. Once you are logged in to the controller, the page you see displayed generally consists of three basic panels.

The top panel contains a navigation bar that is used to select the type of operation to be performed. This panel also displays the name of the controller that is being accessed.

The left panel displays a list of topics. This is similar to many websites and allows the user to easily navigate and select different topics.

The large bottom right panel displays the details of the selected topic. This panel changes content as you make new selections in either the main navigation bar (top) or the list of topics in the panel to the left.
